Out with our local camera club last night:
We have some Sandhill Cranes with eggs that just hatched!
Hosanna in the Highest!
This is Palm Sunday, when we celebrate the beginning of the Passion of Christ.
So begins Holy Week.
I was in the mood for some black & white photography so went out on a nice overcast day.
It’s a Black & White world!
Out making the best of an overcast day, walking around the Cass Street Bridge at LaCrosse, WI.
The Holy Season of Lent is upon us!
I went to the Cathedral in LaCrosse and took a few appropriate pictures:
Prayer is what is needed in this messed up, confused world. Somehow our world has decided that killing innocent children in their mother’s womb is good, homosexuality is normal, gender is a personal preference and can be changed. How do we deal with people who have accepted such absolute craziness?
Prayer, uniting with the one and only Jesus Christ, Son of God, is the only thing that will give us joy and peace.
Ice and snow
Local stream and the amazing ice formations!
Out playing in the snow this afternoon.
Christmas continues in the north!
What was from the beginning, what we have heard,1 John:1
what we have seen with our eyes, what we looked upon and
touched with our hands concerns the Word of life.
For the life was made visible; we have seen it and testify to it and proclaim to you the eternal life that was with the Father and was made visible to us,
what we have seen and heard we proclaim now to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; for our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
The world un-noticed
Just a few shots of the world that most people never notice.
Night shot of the Cass Street bridge at LaCrosse, Wisconsin:
Just some wooden stairs:
Some weeds in a field. I purposely used the technique called “Intentional Camera Movement”. You use a longer shutter speed, in this case just under a second, and move the camera while taking the shot.
Oh Israel, how vast is the house of God,– The Prophet Baruch: 3
How broad the scope of his dominion:
Vast and endless,
high and immeasurable!
In it were born the giants,
renowned at the first,
stalwarts, skilled in war.
Not these did God choose,
nor did He give them the way of understanding;
They perished for lack of prudence,
perished though their folly.
Can’t resist a foggy morning! Up for Vigils and noticed a nice layer of fog.
